Posted in Salento Byzantine collection komoot.it/collection/1811756/-salento-bizantino - Nothing to say, in terms of hiding, the Basilian monks persecuted by iconoclastic struggles and by the Saracens were commendable. It took me some time to find a cave hidden by vegetation. In reality, here we are talking about more caves but I have found only one and I cannot say if there are others. The passage of the Basilian monks is evident given the incision of a cross on the internal wall. Not vandalizing but enhancing these places would be desirable in my opinion.
