At low water levels, it is possible at this point to cross the Glems river over some stones or with the help of wooden stakes. The subsequent, quite rustic path leads to the "normal" way to the Nippenburg ruins. Before that, however, the Glems must be crossed again over a weir, which is not possible or only possible with difficulty at higher water levels. Therefore, at this point, you should think very carefully about whether you absolutely want an adventure or from which water level it is better for you personally to turn back.
