The Llano de Jable is the largest ash field in La Palma, created by the volcanic activity of the surrounding former volcanoes Pico Birigoyo and Montana Quemada. You feel like you're in a lunar landscape, even if there are always green pine trees in between. This contrast creates fantastic photo opportunities, especially when the light is right and the weather is good.
