Christ Church is the Evangelical Lutheran church of the village of Bodenfelde.
Its founding dates back to the Corvey Abbey; from 1278 onward, the neighboring Lippoldsberg Monastery held the patronage. The Reformation was introduced in Bodenfelde in 1543.
The massive Romanesque tower dates back to the time of the church's founding; the nave was rebuilt between 1853 and 1855. The architect was the Royal Hanoverian Master Builder Friedrich Doeltz.

The parish church of Bodenfelde goes back to a founding of the Corvey Abbey, which founded a mission church here, which was ecclesiastically subordinate to the archdeaconate of Höxter in the diocese of Paderborn.[1] From the 11th century onwards, the influence of the Lippoldsberg monastery became increasingly noticeable, which finally acquired patronage over the church in 1278. The first priest of Bodenfelde (sacerdos de Budenefelde) known by name was the priest Andreas in 1283. Anton Corvinus introduced the Reformation in Bodenfelde in 1543 under Duchess Elisabeth von Calenberg-Göttingen, who resided in the neighboring Nienover Castle.
