The market square is one of the places where you can see that Rohrbach was a grown village before it was incorporated and that - in my opinion - makes this part of the city so attractive.

In summer and without Corona measures there is a lot of activity here with outdoor restaurants and ice cream parlors. On Saturdays there is a weekly market on the square (I can recommend the cheese stand and Greek specialties). This was relocated a few hundred meters due to Corona.

The former town hall in today's Heidelberg district of Rohrbach is a listed building. It was built by Jacob Baumann from 1811 to 1813 according to the plans of master builder Wilhelm Frommel and served as the town hall of the Rohrbach community until the town was incorporated by Heidelberg in 1927.
