The grave of the Woldsen and Storm families was built in 1807 using the family's old gravestones from the demolition of St. Mary's Church. The crypt was once created by Friedrich Woldsen, Storm's great-grandfather.
In addition to the poet Theodor Storm, another 35 family members rest here, including his wives Constanze and Dorothea.
Theodor Storm died on July 4, 1888 and was buried three days later in the St. Jürgen Cemetery in Husum.
