This forest road used to lead up to the Silberhaus as an avenue. A new federal highway has long since been built. Today, cyclists and hikers are happy about the beautiful path.

Wonderful road for fast driving if you go in the right direction.
Towards the Czech Republic/east it is a very pleasant downhill ride over quite a long stretch through the middle of the wonderful forest.

Hiking

The old Maintalstraße ran here, and this section was the Silberhausstraße. The road, built in the 19th century, is lined with slow-growing sycamore maples. The lower part was asphalted for the quarry. In 1936, the Ostmarkstraße was built, the course of which forms today's B303 and has largely replaced the Maintalstraße with a new route.
