Hiking
Hardly a second landscape of Norway can leave such impressions as the island of Senja. If you are lucky, and the sun is shining, you think you have found paradise …

Hiking
You can reach Senja via the Gisund Bridge from Finnsnes (mainland) to Silsand. Car ferries are available from Andenes to Gryllefjord (summer only), Brensholmen to Botnhamn and Harstad to Skrolsvik.
The fishing villages on the northwest coast (Husøy, Fjordgård, Senjahopen, Skaland) are partially connected only since the mid-1980s through tunnels to the road network.

Hiking
A detour is worthwhile. The fishing village is a hidden gem on Senja's coast.
