In 1544 it came into the possession of the Van Nuyssenborg family through marriage. Since then, Zuidewijn has been inherited in the female line. At the end of the eighteenth century it came into the hands of the De Roy van Zuidewijn family. The castle also includes a coach house, a fruit orchard and a vegetable garden. the castle cannot be visited, but it is very beautiful.
