The village church of Frankenstein is essentially a Romanesque hall church, which is effectively situated on the hillside and was restored after a fire in 1632. The church received its current form during a redesign in the years 1747 to 1751. The tower end was only created in 1821.

The Evangelical village church Frankenstein is essentially a Romanesque, baroque hall church in the Frankenstein district of Oederan in the district of Mittelachsen in Saxony. It belongs to the Oederan-Frankenstein-Kirchbach parish association in the Marienberg parish of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Saxony and is best known for its well-preserved organ by Gottfried Silbermann and Johann Daniel Silbermann.
