Despite its building form with stepped gables that are reminiscent of the Spanish Roof on the Zoet Water in Oud-Heverlee, it is not a historic noble residence, but a picturesque house built in the last century, set in our time.
The name 'Schvei' or 'Schavaai', according to the local dialect, is a place where the villagers used to cut or chop the wood for their fagots to keep the stoves and bread ovens warm.
