Hiking
The limestone mountain Tâmpa, known to the Transylvanian Saxons as Zinne or Kapellenberg, is part of the Postăvaru massif in the southern Eastern Carpathians. The peak, located at 960 meters above sea level, rises almost 400 meters above the city. The mountain area is largely a nature reserve. The Tâmpa cable car is currently being renovated (2025); it normally runs Tuesday to Friday between 9:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The Hollywood-style white lettering "BRASOV" clearly indicates where you are from.
