The Kaspar Hauser monument was built in 1981. Kaspar Hauser, the child of Europe, moved to Ansbach in 1833. Later he fell victim to a mysterious murder. The Kaspar Hauser monument shows him in two forms. First, it shows Kaspar, as he appeared in Nuremberg in 1828. On the other hand, it shows him as a young nobleman who was murdered in the Ansbacher Hofgarten.

A monument in the old town, a memorial stone at the site of his murder in the Hofgarten, a complete department in the Margrave Museum and his grave with the inscription "Here lies Kaspar Hauser, a riddle of his time, unknown birth, mysterious circumstances of his death" are reminiscent of his Fate.
Since 1998, the city of Ansbach has held the Kaspar Hauser Festival every two years.
