There is a mighty eagle in the base of which a Bismarck image was embedded in half relief under his name on the lake side. The stylized and 8 meter high eagle looks to the west, it was carved by Lothar Dietz (1896-1976).
From here you have a wonderful view of Lindau and across to Bregenz.

Hiking
I find the ostentatious and unoriginal Bismarck towers (the ones with the three-quarter columns at the corners) rather unnecessary, especially when they don't even serve as observation towers.
