In the middle of the rock labyrinth of Rožanski kukovi, at around 1,580 meters, lies Rossijevo sklonište, a simple, unmanaged shelter. The hut, built in 1929, is named after Antun Rossi, a forester and pioneer of Velebit research. It served as a refuge for hikers and researchers in the difficult-to-access Northern Velebit. It still serves this purpose today. It is open all year round and offers basic sleeping facilities for emergencies. A short detour leads there from the Premužić Trail. With a fantastic view, it offers everything for an extended break.
