Between Hochkalter and Watzmann-Massif pour huge amounts of debris. You walk for miles through gravel and boulders, always along the riverbed. The Wimbachtal is truly a feast for the eyes, surrounded by meters high mountains.
Hungry? At the end of the valley you can rest at the Wimbachgries hut. If the march through all the gravel at some point is too boring, can stop in the Wimbachschloss in the middle of the way.
