From the Vista do Rei viewpoint, put your car on the edge of the red dirt parking lot from the bus.
Easy hike to the road down to Sete Cidades, steep descent on concrete.
Snack stop near the lake, then walk along the 2 lakes. The ascent is hard and grueling.
