Cycling
In 1865 Carl Eduard Schneider set up a cutting mill here on the Gelobtbach. Because of the lack of an access road, mainly only Elbe raft wood could be processed at first. After the end of World War II, the wood was transported from the forests above the Gelobtbach valley by cable car. Wooden products were manufactured here until the mid-1970s.
