Hiking
Eltendorf's small park—with its bordered flowerbed and lawn—is dominated by the war memorial towering a little further back. We encounter one in almost every village, as the two world wars in the first half of the last century claimed their victims everywhere—often young people who either volunteered or were conscripted. The memorial keeps their names alive—and thus also the memory of the horrors of war and tyranny—and thus also serves as a reminder to preserve peace.
