This border stone marks the old Belgian - Prussian border which was established in 1815 according to the Congress of Vienna. First there were wooden posts, then from 1840 these stones. After the Treaty of Versailles in 1919, they were no longer necessary in 1920. The district of Malmedy and Eupen passed to the state of Belgium.

This stone marks the former Prussian border with Royal Belgium. The border ran here from 1817 onwards, and from 1840 onwards, stone border markers replaced wooden ones.
