This chapel is a magical, mystical place, steeped in history since the French Revolution. It was erected in memory of Pierre Lesage, known as Les Nouettes, named after the village where he was born in 1772. He became sacristan of the commune and stayed in Paris from 1789 to 1791. On his return, he served mass at a sworn priest. His mother insulted him and to redeem himself, he devoted the rest of his life to the service of the refractory priests of the region.
