A revolutionary (Leon Trotsky), a psychiatrist (Sigmund Freud), a poet (Alfred Polgar, Stefan Zweig, Peter Altenberg) and an architect (Adolf Loos) meet. What sounds like the start of a joke was once peaceful everyday life at Café Central, which opened in 1876. With coffee, cake and a cigar or two, the greatest poets, thinkers and - yes - also storytellers were united here in the cozy atmosphere of Vienna's most beautiful coffee house.
