The hut is located next to the Soriška planina ski resort. From the hut there is a beautiful view of the mountain and the surrounding peaks. In the summer, animals graze in the vicinity of the hut on Soriška planina, which brightens up the day especially for younger mountaineers.
The hut on Soriška planina is also a suitable starting point for short trips to the peaks that surround the mountain.
