The cemetery chapel "To the Holy Cross" in Frauenstein is a chapel below the castle ruins, originally donated in 1384 by Burgrave Berthold of Meissen. It was originally the chapel of the village of "Vrowinstein" and is significantly older than the present town church. After its use as a chapel, it served as a funeral hall and was maintained by volunteers in the 1950s and 1980s. Since its renovation in 2012, it has once again been available as a public funeral hall.

Very nice, well-kept cemetery where old graves/family graves can still be seen. Unfortunately, the church/chapel was closed.
