The Weißer Main, also known as the Weißmain, has more water and is the shorter of the two source rivers of the Main. It has its source in the Fichtelgebirge at the Ochsenkopf and flows together with the Red Main to form the Main near Steinenhausen, on the western outskirts of Kulmbach as a right, northern source river.
