This iconic building was designed by children and opened in 2011 by then-Princess Maxima. To celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2011, the TV show Het Klokhuis came up with the idea of a competition where children could submit their own design for a real Klokhuis house, which was then built. From more than a thousand entries, 6 drawings were selected by a professional jury.
