Embark on an easy hike along the Little Calumet River and Mnoké Prairie Trail, a 3.4-mile (5.5 km) route that takes about 1 hour and 25 minutes to complete. You'll experience a gentle elevation gain of 83 feet (25 metres) as you explore diverse scenery. The path winds through vibrant woodlands, where maple, beech, and oak trees create a lush canopy. You'll also discover the open vistas of the restored Mnoké Prairie, a perfect spot for observing local wildlife. This trail offers a peaceful journey through varied ecosystems.

Before you set out, be aware that conditions can be wet and muddy, particularly after rain or snowmelt, so wear appropriate footwear. The trailhead offers convenient parking, and you'll find year-round restrooms and potable water available there. If you plan to bring your dog, remember that pets are welcome on the trail but must be kept on a leash. This route is designed for hikers, and the paths are not suitable for wheelchairs. Consider visiting during drier periods for the most comfortable experience.
