It can be accessed by a steep track, and from its location you can enjoy one of the most spectacular views. It is a pity that there is a real forest of radio antennas next to the hermitage, which together with the ancient and venerable temple offer a surreal image.

The PR-CV 451 circular route in the Parque Natural del Desert de les Palmes — Les Fonts del Desert immerses you in a landscape of wild beauty and great diversity. The trail leads you past ancient red and violet-hued rock formations, through ravines and over peaks like Monte Bartolo, from where the views of the Mediterranean are spectacular. You'll discover the "Fonts del Desert," natural springs such as Font de Sant Josep, which lend their name to part of the route, and you'll be surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation like dwarf palms and pines.
This moderate hike, spanning 13.5 kilometers (8.4 miles) with 612 meters (2008 feet) of ascent, can be completed in approximately 4 hours and 38 minutes. It's an excellent choice for hikers seeking a manageable challenge and visual rewards. The route typically starts near the Monasterio del Desert de les Palmes or in Benicàssim; be sure to carry water and check trail conditions, as signage can vary.
