This was a nice way to get back up the Vennbahn, in the valley near Monchau there is a basic campsite (Jugendplatz) and another nice campsite Perlenau

In fact, this is the beautiful RurUfer cycle path, along which you can cycle up towards the Rurquelle and also switch to the Vennbahnweg at Kalterherberg. I suggested a name change at Komoot. As of February 2024, it still says “Entry Vennbahn Monschau”, which is probably a translation error.
