L'Assunta is a typical and quiet village with historic buildings and its small church in the middle of green meadows; it seems to come directly from another era.
On the other side of the valley, the Sciliar massif and the Catinaccio group stand out in the distance. It's beautiful. Along the main trail there is a small bench with an amazing view.

The quiet village of Maria Himmelfahrt with its partly historic buildings, mainly used as holiday homes, and the village church in the middle of green meadows looks like it's from another time. Opposite, on the other side of the valley, the Sciliar massif towers up. Located on the southwestern "edge" of the Renon, Maria Himmelfahrt offers privileged views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
