The weir next to the lock in the river consists of a fixed weir with a crest width of 53.10 meters and a sluice gate. It was renewed from May 1998 to September 1998. With the reconstruction of the weir and the lock in Laucha, a new fish ladder was built at the same time, which should enable the Unstrut to pass through this transverse structure for migrating fish species and invertebrates.
