Pilgrimage church visible from afar on the summit of Monte de Santo Estêvão, dedicated to Saint Nossa Senhora dos Remédios. One of the most important pilgrimage sites in Portugal. Construction of the church began in 1750 but was not finally completed until 1905. Inside, the gold-decorated wooden altar with the figure of the saint captivates.
