Hiking
Tonfano, one of the neighborhoods of Marina di Pietrasanta, was a place where fishermen lived, who had already built a small wooden pier in the past. The current pier, erected for recreational purposes only, was built between 2003 and 2005 and is 380 meters long.

Hiking
The pier extends far into the Tyrrhenian Sea, from which one has a fine view over the kilometer-long beach and the bathing resort.
