    Hiking

The Dreimärker Stein in the Spessart is a historical border marker that marked the areas of Mainz, Rieneck and Hanau. It was a three-sided stone with the corresponding coats of arms on each side. It stood on the E1 route between Stein and Rinklingen until it was stolen a few years ago. It was probably erected before 1559, when the Counts of Rieneck died out. It was a testimony to the cultural history of the Spessart and its border conflicts.
