One of the architectural highlights in the municipality of Rorschach is the baroque granary, built between 1746 and 1749. For a long time it was used as a granary and warehouse, including after it was sold to the city in 1908. It was not until the beginning of the 21st century that long-standing plans to convert it were partially implemented. The granary now houses the Museum in the Granary.

Road cycling

The Kornhaus is a baroque building in the Swiss municipality of Rorschach, directly on Lake Constance. It was built between 1746 and 1749 as a grain store by the architect and master builder Johann Caspar Bagnato for the prince-abbot Cölestin Gugger of the Imperial Abbey of Saint Gall.

In 1908, the building was sold to the town and continued to serve mainly as a warehouse. Long-term plans for its reuse were only partially implemented at the beginning of the 21st century. Today, the building houses the Kornhaus Museum.
