Nicely done out pub set in well maintained grounds, friendly accommodating staff, popular in Summer with outdoor seating. Usually quite cyclist friendly as we have stored our bikes inside on a couple of occasions when there has just been the two of us. Not the cheapest place to eat/drink but a very nice 'unpretentious' atmosphere. For those looking for a cheap snack, try the sausage roll, at only 50p an inch you can eat well for £3.
Good car park, so is a great place to start and end a circular tour (usual patronage rules apply no doubt)
