Hiking
The Decksteiner Weiher is the largest, approximately two kilometer long, artificially created park pond in Cologne around 1930. It was also designed as a training course for rowing.

Hiking
"A popular destination for Cologne residents is the approximately 20-hectare Decksteiner Weiher. The many trees along the pond provide pleasant coolness, especially in summer. Wide meadows, a 6 km long circular hiking trail and the adjacent forests round off the offer in the local recreation area. In the northern part of the lake is the "Haus am See", a café-restaurant with a sensational view over the entire pond. There is also a boat rental and a mini golf course here.
Drivers can park their cars free of charge in the parking lot on the Militärring, right near the Geißbockheim."

Hiking
There are more than enough benches around the lake. Many are in the sun, but there are also a few shady spots.
