The Circus Maximus is the largest entertainment building of antiquity and one of the largest stadiums ever built in human history. Located in Rome in the valley between the Palatine Hill and the Aventine Hill, it measures 600 meters in length and 140 meters in width and could accommodate up to 250,000 spectators for the famous chariot races. Today, besides being an extraordinary archaeological area, it is one of the main open-air spaces in the Capital for major events and live concerts.
