The 13th-century church is external to the complex. The interior has a layout typical of Capuchin churches, with a single nave ending in a flat-topped presbytery, occupied by a large, imposing but simple dark wooden altar, executed by Remigio da Firenze in 1695 to house the Madonna with Child and saints by Giovanni Marracci from Lucca, executed the year before, in 1694
