The Cinqfontaines Monastery was built by the Priests of the Sacred Heart in 1903 as a training center for young priests who left for the Congregation's missions in Congo and Brazil.
Between 1941 and 1943 the monastery was used by the Gestapo as a collection camp for Jews. Some 700 Jews would be deported from here.
