The project was transformed in a few years into the construction of a church and a convent dedicated to Santa Maria della Consolazione, built between 1488 and 1518.
The church, richly decorated with stuccos and paintings, houses a rare example of a sixteenth-century organ (1588).
Built by the Antegnati, it has been preserved intact and, thanks to a careful restoration, it is still used for concerts and reviews.
