Hiking

A masterpiece of architecture. A gigantic view of the railway bridge between two tunnels on a vertical wall.

Hiking

On the opposite side of the gorge from the footbridge is the Malaga-Seville railway line, which runs mostly in a tunnel. The line, completed in 1860, brought economic growth to the region and, as a result, increased demand for electricity, which ultimately led to the construction of the hydroelectric power station and, ultimately, the construction of the Caminito del Rey as an access route.

Mountaineering

It's quite amazing what efforts were made for this railway line. The supporting pillars are very nicely worked out.
