Accessed from the South Prong Trailhead this trail stretches 5 miles to the north to connect to the Black Canyon Trail. From the trailhead there is a gradual three mile climb through pine forests before making a very quick and steep descent of over 1,600 feet in under two miles down into Black Canyon.
