There you can connect to the old Poperinge-Hazebroek railway bed, a path that runs along the Vleterbeek towards Godsvelde.
The Vleterbeek originates from the Katsberg in the municipality of Godewaarsvelde in French Flanders and flows into Belgium from Abele. Only in the center of Poperinge does the Vleterbeek join the Bommelaarsbeek-Hipshoekbeek and is called the Poperingevaart. At the Elzendamme bridge the Poperingevaart flows into the IJzer.
