Trollenäs is known since the 1300s and has been owned by only two descendants, Thott and Trolle. In 1559, the present castle began to be built by Tage Ottesen Thott and belonged to his family until 1682. Then it came through the exchange of Niels Trolle's widow, Helle Rosenkrantz. Her grandson Fredrik Trolle made Trollenäs and Fulltofta a video commission for his grandson Fredrik Trolle and his heirs. The property has been transferred to Trollenäs Gods AB and is still owned by the Trolle family.

Trollenäs Castle Park is open to the public and good for a little stroll.
The many dragonflies on the water bodies in the park were interesting for me. I was able to clearly determine: pitcher, four-spotted and blue-winged demoiselle.
