The wildflowers that bloom here during late spring and summer are a delightful addition to the gorgeous alpine lake. Jeffrey's shooting star and white march Marigold are the first to bloom here after the snow melts away. In late summer, Elephant Head and Newberry's knotweed, with its brilliant red shoots push through the soil and are among countless varieties that line the lake's shoreline.
