Munický rybník is located south of Hluboká nad Vltavou, has an area of 118.5 ha, is fed by the Munický potok and a system of canals leading from the nearby Bezdrev pond. The year of foundation is not known until it is known. All that is known is that it was expanded in 1514 by Vojtěch from Perštejn. On its southern side is the Ohrada ZOO, which uses pond areas, especially waterfowl, in some enclosures. The catch takes place every 2 years (every even year) as part of the South Bohemian Fishermen's Festival.
