Hiking

To earn money for the construction of a church, the local population created an open-air theater in the forest in 1932 and 1933. Various plays were performed in these years, such as The Witch of Brunssummerheide. This chainsaw witch stands on the former stage and is a visible reminder of the history of this place.

The former mythical place is located directly on the hiking/biking path, but in the middle of the forest.

Hiking

At the former open-air theater in the Rimburgerbos stands the Witches' Statue, a wooden artwork by Roel van Wijlick. It recalls the old theatrical performances on the Brunssummerheide and creates an atmospheric and mysterious focal point during your walk.
