Was only used for a short time because it was too exposed to enemy gaze. (The area here was not forested at the time.)
In general, the bunkers / positions of the Wehrmacht were designed in such a way that they could support each other in the event of an attack. They were also connected to each other by telephone lines, which, however, were interrupted by the frequent Allied artillery raids.
The positions here could not be taken by the Allies, they were abandoned by the Wehrmacht in April 1945 when there was a risk of encirclement.
