Estadore Evert Taube, dressed in sombrero and poncho, holds his lute with one hand. With the other he makes a gesture that he wanted to show the beauty of Stockholm. The statue is a gift from the friends of the Evert Taube Association. The plinth is carved from granite from Vinga, Taube's birthplace.
